Annotation

Monolingual literacy models present that reading acquisition rests on children’s semantic, phonological, and orthographic knowledge. The links between these elements differ cross-linguistically, yet it is generally unknown how these differences affect bilingual children’s literacy. Thence this study explores this question, collating Spanish–English bilingual and English monolingual children (ages 6–13, N?=?70) from the US.
