Migrant and refugee parents in Australia pondering raising their children in their non-mainstream home language often dread that this decision may negatively affect their children’s English language skills and thus also their academic chances. To appease parents' concerns, this inquiry evolved and delivered free workshops on bilingual upbringing, which are debated.
