This paper handles the occurrence of classroom collaborative dialogue, operationalized as language-related episodes (LREs), across task modality (written and oral) and its affect on target language development. Data stem from five dyads consisting of Spanish (L1) – English (L2) bilingual students acquiring French (L3) completing two decision-making tasks.
