Annotation

Exploring the content of Indian riot coverage in the English Times of India and Hindu Hindustan, this paper found that neither newspaper accurately represented the actual number of riots in their reporting. Coverage in both papers followed predictable patterns likely driven by a new focus on selling newspapers at any cost in order to increase advertising revenue.
