This inquiry explores frequency effects on spelling in Hebrew-speaking younger and older adults. More correct responses of older adults suggest that aging leads to greater reliance on full lexical retrieval of spelling, due to years of exposure to written language, vocabulary increase, and consolidation of orthographic representations.
