Annotation

The book provides the reader with interdisciplinary research in the complexities of the relationships between religion, language, and the human mind, with the general aim to incite collaboration among researchers interested in these topics. The volume has three Parts that center around three major topics, considered within different contexts such as theology and religious studies, linguistics, neuroscience, cognitive science, etc. Part I is a collection of six articles representing different theoretical approaches to the study of language, mind, and religion. The six chapters in Part II are devoted to the analysis of metaphorical language use in religious texts. The five chapters in Part III give more information about the possible theoretical approaches, instruments, and methods for the examination of language, cognition, and religion.
