The volume covers some major areas of Persian linguistics. While the volume is not focused on pragmatics, given the fact that it discusses some current debates in the field of Persian linguistics, it can motivate pragmaticians to pursue further research on some of the topics/areas discussed. Of particular interest are the sections on sociolinguistics, language contact and multilingualism, the teaching of Persian, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics and computational linguistics.
