M. investigates the ideology underlying the 1970 Danish radio news. Among other things, linguistic strategies such as agent and source deletion and the selection of specific lexematic features are pointed out to show the operation of some central topoi, e.g. that 'affairs of the world just run according to some inner necessity or logic', that 'true arguments are necessarily technical', etc..
