Annotation

A study of the order of constituents in Latin sentences (Latin being syntactically a relatively free word order language) with respect to their communicative effectiveness. Word order is investigated as a discourse phenomenon with a communicative purpose. The theoretical model behind the study is the Prague School 'Functional Sentence Perspective'.
