Discussion of a number of aspects of text comprehension and a corresponding text-theoretical model, viz.: (i) objects, aims and methodologies in text-theoretical research, (ii) text understanding and a theoretical model of it, (iii) a text theoretical framework for interpretation, and (iv) some interdisciplinary research topics of text interpretation relevant for linguistics, psychology and the theory of cognition.
