O. opposes the behaviorist doctrine of meaning (sameness of meaning is sameness of use) to the cognitive standpoint (sameness of truth conditions). O. admits that a cognitive approach seems possible for monoglot semantics. But in polyglot semantics, he still holds the theory of the indeterminacy of translation.
