R. develops a theoretical concept of the study of language structure which is essentially based on his view of language and communication, and language and thought. He criticizes the view on semantic structure in generative linguistics on the basis of its lack of relevance from the point of view of use, and develops a concept of language as a phenomenon of use in social reality. He shows how the social nature of language is revealed at all levels of the architecture of intersubjectivity, and presents an analysis of message structure from this point of view.
