Annotation
A general consideration of the Whorfian hypothesis of the influence of language on thought. The role of various overt and covert aspects of linguistic structure is considered in this respect. In particular, the influence of color terminology is revisited. The conclusion is that the hypothesis of linguistic relativity is rather untenable.
