Annotation

S. tentatively defines the notion of pragmatic presupposition, suggesting that this notion might yield explanations of linguistic phenomena which are more natural than those given in terms of a semantic notion of presupposition. S. proposes to separate the problem of presupposition from the problem of truth value.
