On the syntagmatic patterns and permutations of deixis, with focus on (i) the nature and conventions of deictic sequence; (ii) the relations between the selectional and the combinatory axis of deictic structure; (iii) the relations between deictic and nondeictic principles of ordering, and (iv) the infringement on deictic rules.
