On the basis of three dichotomous principles of classification (source of experience, frame of reference, and focus) the values of which can be either 'speaker' or 'other', S. arrives at eight classes of intersubjective illocutionary acts: disclosure, advisement, edification, confirmation, question, interpretation, acknowledgement, and reflection.
