An analysis of a Swedish child's utterances in a play context where it performs speech acts to characterize imaginary play-acts. S. considers the correlations of the nature of this speech act with the nature of the situation (the 'levels' of reality involved, the morphological form of the utterance, etc.). Also, the relations with the dimensions of aspect and time are considered.
