Annotation
T. investigates the hypothesis that written language is decontextualized while spoken language is highly context-bound, and that spoken discourse establishes cohesion through paralinguistic cues while written discourse relies more on lexicalization. It is argued that strategies associated with both modes can be found in both spoken and written discourse.
