A questionaire constructed for the application of a set of operational criteria to identify the conceptually most basic verbs of speaking or metapragmatic terms in natural languages, and for discovering the distribution of these basic items across a standardized spectrum of speech events. The aim is a search for synchronic implicational universals in the area of metapragmatic terms.
