From the perspective of selection theory, two types of non-pragmatic meaning representations presented: semantic representations and logical representations. The former are inside the scope of aspect operators, the latter are not. It is argued that this distinction is relevant for an account of 'aspectual pair' in Slavic languages and for cognitive approaches to meaning representations.
