This paper reports on an evaluation of the Sepedi Helper (SH) (http://www.sepedihelper.co.za/), an online writing assistant. The focus of the evaluation, which takes the form of a user study, is on the verbal moods in Sepedi (Northern Sotho). The SH confirms correct responses, corrects errors, and identifies the most common errors made by Sepedi learners at a tertiary institution.
