This comparative study delineates changes between final newspaper output and original narrative input -in casu on the Hong Kong 1997 independency-, provided by foreign news agencies and adopted by two Taiwanese English-language newspapers, the input versions of which were retrieved from the Associated Press archives, and addressess differences in handling the same source material by various news groups.
