Annotation
This paper argues that a minority language hierarchy in New Zealand exists and that arguments for minority language promotion are most broadly agreed to for the Māori language, followed by New Zealand Sign Language, then Pacific languages, and lastly community languages. Admission of links between the language communities is scanty.
