An attempt to present arguments against the Q-morpheme hypothesis for treating questions in grammar, and to consider an alternative based on the logical analysis of questions proposed by Aqvist and Hintikka, that is moreover compatible with some of thepredictions made by the performative analysis of questions based on Austin's performative verbs.
