On the question of what is good juridical argumentation and which criteria ought to be accepted in this respect. Two theories, those by Alexy (1978: 'Theorie der juristischen Argumentation') and Perelman (e.g. Perelman and Olbrechts-Tyteca 1976: 'Traitéde l'argumentation') are compared and discussed.
