This paper examines two competing theories of the 'two way schooling' attempt to give Aboriginals educational programmes that satisfy both aspirations of minority culture maintenance and dominant culture access: Harris' theory of culture domain separation and Kemmis et al.'s 'negotiated meaning' approach.
