Annotation

This paper proposes to examine the hypothesis that parameter resetting is not an option available to the second language learner and to gather further evidence for or against Fodor's modularity hypothesis and illuminate the possible interactions between linguistic and 'central' cognitive processes. The complex results justify an interpretation which supports both the main hypotheses being tested.
