Annotation

This study empirically examines the hypothesis that humor has a disinhibiting effect on the expression of aggressive and affective impulses. It is demonstrated that adolescents, asked to use humor in their projective test stories on romantic love, expressed significantly more aggressive and affective themes than the adolescent control group that only received standard instructions.
