Annotation

Based on Eugenio Coseriu's linguistic theories, this study explores a corpus of 30 interviews for indications of language change and linguistic creation in current Galician. It reveals the emergence of a common vernacular and its struggle for emancipation and focuses on individuals' strategies in employing this language and on the connection between metalanguage and speaking.
