According to Hong Kong Identity Surveys during the period from 1996 to 2006, Hong Kong people increasingly claim a mixed Hongkong- Chinese identity, although political identification with Mainland China remains weak. A multidimensional comprehension of Hong Kong's national identity formation is proposed.
