This paper addresses two types of violent women (labelled here 'whore') narratives : stories on violent women's erotomania and sexual dysfunctioning. Although the whore narrative has been consistently used historically and cross-culturally, this paper distinguishes a culture-based dimension that is unique to the war on terror and affects research on gender in global politics.
