This study further examines data from Gran Canaria Spanish interrogatives (based on Cabrera-Abreu and Vizcaíno-Ortega, 2010) in the light of Relevance Theory, appealing to the linguistic distinction between neutral/marked for interrogatives, and to the relevance and attribution concepts as employed in Relevance Theory.
