Annotation

Within the context of Mexican Oaxaca, housing 16 officially accepted indigenous languages, besides Spanish and English, this article employs multimodal texts and narratives to propose ethnographic pictures of local indigenous and mestizo children, handling three topics: translanguaging usage as standard; children's identity (re)negotiation via identity texts' generation and implementation; and teachers as learners and children as teachers.
