Annotation

This study examines discrepancies between Iranian English and non-English major students regarding their attitude vis-à-vis native English speakers and described self-identity change. Tests disclosed a statistically notable contrast for a subcategory of attitude, namely ethnocentrism, pointing out that likely given bigger affinity with English language and culture, English major students were less biased to their local language and culture. For them, there was also a close link between total attitude and productive, split and total identity change variables. For non-English major students total attitude was only statistically notable linked to the subtractive identity change variable.
