Annotation

This inquiry explored whether emergent readers (here: Brazilian Portuguese-speaking kindergartners), profit more from phoneme than syllable orthographic mapping (OM) education at the start of learning to read and write, and whether articulatory gestures' affix in the OM training of phonemes raises the gain.
