This article rebuilds the discourse acts' hierarchy that reviewers frame in multimodal online reviews for tourist attractions. It displays how reviewers use distinct semiotic modes to fill the communicative action of tourist recommendation, and the pragmatic function of photographs in the discourse acts' hierarchy.
