Annotation

This book proposes a discourse-historical analytic approach of racist discourse and of the relation of that discourse to social structure. It is rooted in critical theory, thus merging theory and method with political values and an attempt to confront forms of domination and exploitation. This method is applied to three case studies: the open resurgence of anti-Semitism in Austria related to the 'Waldheim Affair'; the 'Austria First petition'; and the administration of new exclusionary immigrant laws in Austria.
