Annotation

Demonstrating that translation is one of the main ways of culture building, this book argues that translation in the Americas is rather capable of establishing cultures, than something which happens between separate and distinct cultures. It further highlights the cultural role of translation policies in a discriminatory process towards minority and oppressed cultural groups.
