The object of my research is the poem Die schlesischen Weber by the German writer Heinrich Heine. It is worldwide known that it tries to remove perverse social relations and is very appealing stylistically speaking. Consequently, its richness in the use of tropes and other devices is not to be overlooked. This paper focuses on the use of metaphors, which have always been thought to be the most appropriate language instrument from a stylistic and communicative perspective, comparison, parallel construccions, oxymoron and repetition.
