Abstract

This article deals with the relationship between language and perception. Assuming that the meanings of linguistic constructions depend on how the subject of cognition (the speaker) perceives the world and refers to it, the speaker cannot be separated from the the conceptualiser. The latter is often described in the cognitive paradigm as the Observer; this paper aims to describe the Observer and the phenomenon of observability in general, including the stages and mechanisms of cognition.
