Yuefu poetry anthology, also called the Folk-song styled poems, is regarded as a dazzling pearl in the treasure house of Chinese literature which profoundly influenced the development of Chinese literature. The anthology of Yuefu Poetry in Chinese and English serves as a bridge to the spread of Yuefu poetry around the world. From the perspective of cognitive linguistics, this paper analyzes the use of faithful equivalence strategy in the English translation of the the Anthology, specifically focusing on metaphors, culture-loaded terms and rhythm.
