Abstract
Ephesians is believed to be a reflection of Paul’s theology, namely that only faith and not works count for one’s salvation. We contextualize Eph 2.8-9 and make an analysis of the alive-dead metaphor therein. Although Eph 2.1-10 mirrors Pauline doctrines, Eph 4-6 sheds light on the phenomenon of salvation. It talks about how christians must live a life according to God’s principles and will in order to find the right path to Heaven.
