In this article, Fowl takes into his account the well-known textual problem in 1 Thess 2.7 which resides in the second clause of the verse and questions whether the text is to be read ν⋯πιοι (infants) or ἤπιοι (gentle). So, the aim of this article is to prove, against contemporary scholarly claims which endorse the preference of (gentle), there are neither sufficient text-critical nor contextual reasons to prefer one over the other
