Abstract

The present paper discusses music understood here as the approach helpful in collecting, analyzing and re/presenting data which can successfully act on a par with the approaches that provide living intentional metaphors through which a potential reader filters data using their own emotional, cognitive, spiritual or scholarly apparatus (e.g. reflexive journalism, photography, poetry, video representation, dramatic enactments, or playwriting) The objective to the paper is to show to what extent music can be used in a qualitative research project. The author aims at initiating the conversation on how music can grasp both participant and researcher experiences in order to naturally challenge words, thoughts, reactions, and assumptions.
