Abstract

This paper investigates how three dictionaries of Modern Greek record and present proverbial expressions. According to the findings, there is no consistency in the presentation and recording of proverbs among the three dictionaries. The authors suggest that lexicographic operations should add information concerning the cultural aspect of proverbs.
