Abstract
This article provides a Cognitive Poetics approach to three poems by Edward Taylor. The author adopts a relativistic approach to the sensorium and seeks cultural differences at different eras. It is argued that abstract-to-abstract metaphorical mappings are used more frequently in poetry than in other genres.
