Abstract

The metaphor teaching of physics in China is originated from the "analogy" and "BIYU" controversy over teaching methodology. This paper summarizes the history of the metaphor teaching of physics in China, investigates the reasonability and feasibility of using the term "metaphor" to refer to analogy and BIYU, discusses the rationality of applying the metaphor as a strategy of teaching physics and puts forward suggestions how to carry out the scientific knowledge education on the basis of the metaphor teaching of physics.
