Abstract

In an increasing pace, multiple multimodal texts made have become strongly present in the various fields of our society. Although verbal production remained the focus of several areas of investigative studies for a long time, in recent years it has been considered only one of the forms of human communication. This is rather clear when the focus turns to studies regarding the metaphorical processes. However, it must pointed out that the bibliography concerning multimodal metaphor processes does not reflect this growing interest. According to Forveville (2009) when discussing multimodal metaphors, two aspects must be considered: the kinds of verb-visual metaphors and the multimodal metaphors defined in terms of their source and target domains resulting of different building processes . This work aims to investigate the production process of mutimodal metaphors, in order to show other types of creation of in which there is a metaphorical overlap.
