The paper presents a new methodology for detecting conceptual metaphors and compiling corpora. This methodology is constructed within the MOMENT project; a program which involves the annotation and formation of a corpus of mental health discourse. The particular methodology aims at reducing the impact of analyst’s subjectivity and providing systematic changes for metaphor formulation. The results are satisfactory and can be applied to different corpora.
