Abstract

The particular work studies the language that Gregory of Nyssa used in “Against Eunomius”. More specifically, it employs the Conceptual Metaphor Theory in order to decipher how people understand the notion of 'father' and 'son', the essence of being 'ordinary' and the 'judgment of nature'. The aim is to record how people talk about the divine and the various conceptualizations and mappings they perform.
